Anywho. So I opened the bag of croutons and about died from the smell. The appearance of them seemed fine, no mold nothing out of the ordinary, but the smell of them was like dead fish and mold. Needless to day I took them back and them wrote a lil email to the company as the store told me this was not the first bag to come back with that complaint. It was a store brand btw.
So here we are in the kitchen making homemade croutons. That's what I get for going the easy route. They are actually pretty damn easy.
You will need.
some day old or older bread cut into cubes maybe about 5-6 cups total
olive oil or coconut oil or hell if all you have is veggie oil then by all means use it. 1/2 cup
Garlic sliced or chopped
salt
pepper
Take the oil add the garlic to it and let it site for about 10 minutes.
Take the cubes and spread them out on a baking sheet, drizzle the oil on them and toss, sprinkle with salt and pepper and pop in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes
That's it, easy peasy
